Lucio Fontana at the Hayward
Hailed as "one of the most influential artists of this century", Argentine-born Italian Lucio Fontana was an artist of extraordinary versatility as this exhibition at the Hayward Gallery shows. Materials used include incised wax, terracotta, bronze, plaster and stoneware. The works in polychrome ceramic are particularly striking. The punctured canvasses ("Spatial Concepts") in the upper galleries can be rather monotonous but don't let that put you off.
On Monday 22 November the London Sinfonietta will perform a programme of Music for Fontana in the gallery. Call 020 7928 3144 for details. www.hayward-gallery.org.uk
