Southwark's Old Curiosity Shop

Southwark Playhouse's Christmas production promises to be a real treat. The theatre and its surroundings will be transformed to create a Dickensian atmosphere for The Old Curiosity Shop. "I want to celebrate living and working in London and in particular the astonishing history of Southwark" explains Playhouse Artistic Director Erica Whyman. On selected dates audiences will be offered pre-performance historical tours of the Bankside area. This highly visual production is suitable for children aged seven and over, offering a magical glimpse into London's literary history.

The adjacent 62 Restaurant is offering Christmas dinner at a special price of £25 for theatregoers.
