Southwark Council has launched a public consultation on plans to create segregated cycle lanes on Borough Road in connection with the proposed Southwark Spine bike route.
The council is proposing segregated cycle lanes along each side of the road, early release for cyclists at the Southwark Bridge Road junction and a separate cycle signal at the Harper Road junction.
Borough Road runs from St George's Circus to Newington Causeway and is the home of London South Bank University's campus.
Borough Road is part of the Southwark Spine, a proposed north-south cycle route devised by the council five years ago but yet to be delivered.
Public consultation on the latest Borough Road scheme continues until Monday 4 November.
