Almost eight months after David Blaine's stunt, Potters Fields will again become home to a Perspex box. However, this time the focus is on reality rather than illusion.
Crisis, the national homelessness charity, has created a multi-media installation to launch its Hidden Homelessness Campaign.
The box is an interactive installation giving members of the public the chance to hear first hand the experiences of homeless people through audio and video simulations. The Perspex box will allow people inside to see out, but those outside cannot see in, illustrating how hidden homeless people live on the fringes of society – in hostels, B&B's and on friends floors.
Crisis is using the box to launch its 'Hidden Homelessness Campaign' at
Trafalgar Square on Tuesday 13 July. The box then moves to Potters Fields on Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 July. The installation will be open 12 noon to 8pm.
