There's still time for 8-11 year-olds to be part of a free week-long series of drama, music and puppet-making workshops at Southwark Playhouse preparing for the Earthy Delights festival in Mint Street Park on Saturday 14 August.
Take part in a parade and performance of Modern Ark, through a week-long free drama, music and puppet-making workshop for 8-11 year olds at Southwark Playhouse, Monday 9 to Friday 13 August (10am-3.30pm). Places are still available – contact Southwark Playhouse on 020 7620 3494
The Playhouse is also offering free workshops at Mint Street Adventure Playground for all ages on Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 August (11am-1pm) to make masks and instruments for the parade. To take part contact Kath on 020 7922 1350.
The parade, which will be followed by the performance, is at 12.30 on Saturday 14 August in Mint Street Park (corner of Southwark Bridge Road and Marshalsea Road). It will launch a free fun-packed 'green' community day with celebrations, activities, entertainment, craft workshops, information and refreshments.
