Colourful procession through Waterloo
Waterloo children launched the 2004 Thames Festival by taking a leading role in their own Waterloo Festival on Friday afternoon.
Children from Johanna Primary School in Lower Marsh formed a colourful procession across Baylis Road to Waterloo Millennium Green for a parade.
The light rain held off for a balloon launch with the wind quickly taking the balloons high above the Old Vic.
Also present was BBC London presenter Nina Hossain who appears with Colin Firth in the film Trauma which was shot in Lower Marsh and is released this weekend.
