Tabard Gardens and the Rockingham Estate are among the areas set to see an explosion of colour next spring as Southwark Council plants a daffodil bulb for each of its 250,000 residents.

Cllr Richard Thomas, Southwark's executive member for environment and transport, said: "This initiative, which is part of our commitment to a cleaner and greener borough, will brighten Southwark up and mark the arrival of spring in a most spectacular way."
