South Bank murder: 14-year-old girl is charged

A 14-year-old girl from South Norwood is due to appear in custody at Camberwell Magistrates Court on Wednesday. She is the fifth person to be charged with the murder of David Morley.

The girl is charged with the murder of David Morley near Hungerford Bridge, the attempted assault and robbery of a 29-year-old man near Hungerford Bridge, attempted GBH of a 28-year-old man and violent in Leake Street and conspiracy with others to commit robbery.

A 20-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday in the Kennington area in connection with this investigation. He is in custody at a south London police station.

Another man has been bailed pending further inquiries.
