London Bridge-based law firm Anthony Gold has launched a new clinic to advise people experiencing marital or relationship problems without ongoing commitment.
The clinic is designed to give the opportunity for people to talk about their individual circumstances with a specialist family lawyer, to be made aware of the potential consequences of relationship breakdown, as well as what other help may be available to them, without having to make the formal step of instructing a solicitor.
The clinic is open to all, whether married, cohabiting or in a heterosexual or same sex relationship.
"We are aware that the decision to approach a lawyer can be daunting," says Ellie Chapman, a partner in Anthony Gold's family law department. "Even a telephone call to a solicitor seems to confirm the failure of a relationship.
"The clinic provides an opportunity for people to consider the options and practical steps available either to save a relationship or to protect their position. It is intended to facilitate the making of informed decisions about the future."
Clinics are held twice a week at Anthony Gold's Borough High Street office, with early, late and lunchtime appointments available. There is a fixed fee of £190 plus VAT for 1 or 1.5 hours. Booking is necessary to ensure that an appropriate Lawyer is allocated to the session.
