A couple from Sussex will this week become the first people to marry on the London Eye.
Simon Stapleton and Dawn Bottomley will exchange vows 450ft above the South Bank. They are the winners of a GMTV competition, reported earlier in the year on this website.
The Eye will be stopped for several minutes on Thursday morning while Lambeth registrar Richard Edwards performs the service.
Guests will watch the ceremony from another pod before adjourning to the London Marriott Hotel in County Hall for the reception.
The wedding ceremony will be shown live on GMTV.
