Texas to play gig on Tower Bridge
A marketing campaign to reinvigorate London's tourism industry in the wake of last month's terrorist attacks will start with a free rock concert on Tower Bridge's high level walkways.
The concert by Scottish rock group Texas, fronted by Sharleen Spiteri, is backed by Visit London and Virgin Radio.
"Texas playing Tower Bridge will be a combination of the modern and the best of the old that reflects the breadth of what London stands for," said Ken Livingstone, the Mayor of London. "I am very pleased to give my backing to this unique event Virgin Radio and Texas are putting on."
The concert will be broadcast live on Virgin Radio, which is giving away tickets for the event.
