London SE1 website team

Police are appealing for help in identifying a young woman who fell to her death from a walkway at Amigo House in Morley Street on bank holiday Monday.

Police were called to to scene by the London Ambulance Service just before 7.30pm. It is believed that the woman fell from a communal outside walkway either on the fifth, sixth or seventh floor of the block, which has seven floors.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. A post mortem will be held at Greenwich mortuary on Wednesday.

Officers say that the death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage.

The woman is white – possibly of Mediterranean appearance – and is approximately 20 years old. She has shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5ft 5ins tall and was wearing grey jogging bottoms and a pink vest top.

Police are appealing for anyone who recognises the description to contact police at Southwark on 020 7378 1212 and ask for the control room.
