Police in Southwark are investigating the circumstances of an unexplained death in Prioress Street on Sunday 23 October.
Police were alerted around 8.45am by a member of the public who had seen a man lying in the gardens of the Tabard Centre, a block of flats in Prioress Street. Officers called to the scene found a man who was dead.
The dead man has been identified as 41 year old businessman Simon Hobart who lived at the Tabard Centre.
A post mortem at Greenwich Mortuary on Tuesday revealed the cause of death to be a serious head injury, consistent with a fall. The results of further toxicology tests are awaited.
A report is being prepared for the Coroner.
