Picture This at the Bargehouse

Picture This is a complex and vivid art show dedicated to educating people about how children around the world caught in the grip of war.

by War Child, an organisation dedicated to helping the lives of children in war-torn countries, Picture This is a selling exhibition of a variety of artwork aimed at raising awareness of those children who must endure the terrors of war daily.

Composed of art from up-and-coming artists – and big names – and inhabiting a space that reflects the art, Picture This conveys a message of need for peace by displaying vivid, graphic images of war and destruction.

A variety of artists such as Peter Kennard and Cat Picton Phillips, Andrew Fyvie, Catherine Jacobs, Rankin, and Banksy have contributed some extraordinary pieces of work to create this exhibition. From black and white collage images grained with red and blue to statues and paintings on varying subjects, Picture This has succeeded in providing a plethora of artwork from talented artists, which are all united in the purpose of raising funds for the work of War Child. This exhibition has used both its art and its space to its advantage. Picture This is a display of dedication and artwork no one should miss.
