Fresh spring and Easter produce is available in Borough Market at the start of the long holiday weekend.

Greenwich-based Duponds stall in the open air Green Market is selling hot cross buns (50p) and the Flour Station stall in Three Crown Square also has traditional fresh hot cross buns (£1) from its bakery in Battersea.

The Konditor & Cook shop opposite the Floral Hall in Stoney Street is selling not only hot cross buns (99p) but also a very colourful range of Easter eggs including dark chocolate goose eggs (£3.75), chocolate bunnies (£4.45) and gift bags of gull size speckled eggs (£4.85) for Easter egg hunts.

The full Konditor & Cook range, along withy Easter simnel cake, is also available at its original shop in Waterloo's Roupell Street.

Ingredients for the traditional Good Friday fish dishes can be found at Borough Market's Applebee fish shop in Stoney Street. Also in the Market are Shell Seekers, specialising in scallops from the Dorset coast, Richard Hayward Oysters and Furness Fish.

Borough Market will be open on Good Friday with the usual Friday and Saturday opening hours being maintained during the long Easter holiday weekend. However, many stalls are also planning to open on Maundy Thursday.
