Cheesemaker Randolph Hodgson heads the list of local figures to be recognised in the Queen's birthday honours.
He co-founded Neal's Yard Dairy in Covent Garden in 1979 and opened a branch in Park Street ten years ago. He now lives in SE1.
Also receiving the OBE is SE1 resident Dr Paul Nicholson – for services to occupational medicine.
The same honour goes to Christopher Harper, court manager of Southwark Crown Court.
Ken Knight, commissioner of the Albert Embankment-based London Fire Brigade, receives a knighthood.
