Patients at Guy's Hospital will soon be able to experience the joy of the silver screen. Believed to be the first scheme of its kind worldwide, the Medicinema at Guy's has set up a fully-functioning cinema inside the hospital grounds.
There are 100 seats, but space for beds and wheelchairs means that even less mobile patients can enjoy the films.
Set up in 1999, the Medicinema has shown films on an ad hoc basis but now plans to hold regular screenings thanks to support from UGC Cinemas and a team of volunteers. If you can help with the project, call 020 7955 4900.
