The London Hat Show, Avec 2007, is displaying the creations of twenty new and established hat designers.
The Menier Gallery venue in Southwark Street has proved a cool venue during hot weather for visitors to the exhibition and lunchtime fashion shows.
Exhibiting again this year is Bridget Bailey of Bailey Tomlin, the specialist courture milliners. Both Siggi Hats and the London Hat House are featuring hats for this year's Royal Ascot race meeting.
The show also offers an opportunity to see the 12 minute film The Hat Treasures of SE1 featuring Stephen Humphrey highlighting Southwark's hat making industry heritage which includes the manufacture of the once highly popular bowler hat.
Avec 2007: The London Hat Show is at the Menier Gallery in the Chocolate Factory, 51 Southwark Street; 10am-7.30pm (Sat 6pm) until Saturday 21 April; admission £1 (in aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief).
