Police in Leeds are appealing for information as to the whereabouts of 30-year-old Zanela Solo and her 8-year-old son Tido Solo.
The mother and son have not been seen since Wednesday 18 April when they left an address in Leeds.
Zanela spoke to family at midnight on Monday 23 April, however they have not been heard from since.
It is believed that Zanela and Tido were in the Northampton area until Monday, but it is now believed they have gone to London.
Information was received that they were both on a train bound for the Wood Green area at 10.30pm on Monday, and it is also believed that Zanela was in the area around the Elephant and Castle shopping centre at approximately 8.45am on Tuesday 24 April and could now be in the Barking area.
Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of both Zanela and Tido, and are urging Zanela to contact her family or police to let them know that they are both safe and well.
Zanela is described as black, medium build, with dark short hair and brown eyes. Tido is described as black, short dark hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing school uniform, however it is possible that Tido is now wearing something different.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Stainbeck Police Station in Leeds on 0113 241 3259 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
