At the end of last year agency sent out more than 500 Christmas ornament kits to clients, media owners and journalists inviting them to paint the plain glass baubles with festive designs of their choice. For each decorated bauble returned to the agency, Mediaedge:cia pledged to make a donation to Thames Reach.

The campaign caught the imagination of the market and Mediaedge:cia was able to decorate its Christmas tree with wide array of hand-painted ornaments. Some were even returned with festive versions of brand logos.

"This year we wanted to do something different from the usual Christmas cards or e-cards," says CEO Tom George.

"Through this campaign, we were able to demonstrate our company philosophy – Active Engagement – and to raise money for a good cause."

Jeremy Swain, Thames Reach chief executive, added: "This money will go directly towards initiatives helping some of society's most vulnerable people turn their lives around. We value our relationship with Mediaedge:cia and their ongoing commitment to helping homeless people."
