Southwark launch for Strolls

The Historic Southwark Stroll Back in Time is an audio guided tour along the riverside from Tower Bridge to Oxo Tower Wharf and is available on CD or tape.

Jim Simpson, Managing Director of the venture, said that the launch of the series had to be at Hay's Galleria because he is from Southwark and aware of its important role in the history of the capital. He hopes visitors and residents will enjoy the tapes and take the tour at their own pace.

In addition to the Royal Westminster tour there is already a Bath tape and another for a northern city is expected to follow shortly.

Among the guests was Simon Hughes MP who took away tapes featuring the history of both his constituency and Westminster where he sits as member of Parliament.

The Stroll Back in Time tapes and CD are available price £9.99 from the Southwark Heritage Centre on the lower floor of Hay's Galleria.
