Borough Market's Three Crown Square was filled with banqueting tables on Friday evening as 300 local residents tucked in to delicious food and drink at the annual community barbecue
The 300 invited guests included residents of the nearby Peabody Estate, local primary school children and their families.
The community barbecue is now an annual tradition. The first event was held in 2001 to foster links between the Borough Market traders and local residents who might not normally shop in the market.
Nearly 50 of the market's traders contributed their produce and time to make the event possible.
Highlights included a hog roast with Roast restaurant as well as delicious chocolate brownies for desert.
Among the many activities for children were a gingerbread man decorating stall with Konditor & Cook and storytelling with Shakespeare's Globe.
The entertainment lineup featured a salsa band, street dance with Tonye Obene of Cathedral School and swing dance with the Attic Cats.
