Police have launched a murder inquiry after a man was shot dead in the early hours of Sunday morning at the seOne club in Weston Street below London Bridge Station.
Police were called at about 5:40am on Sunday morning to reports of shots fired at the seOne club in Weston Street.
Officers found a man aged 24 suffering from what is believed to be a gunshot wound.
He was taken to an east London hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly before 12 noon.
Detectives believe that they know the identity of the deceased and have informed next of kin however formal identification has not yet taken place.
Officers from the Met's Operation Trident have launched an investigation and an incident room is being set up.
Police say that they are keeping an open mind as regards a possible motive for the shooting.
Reports suggest that St Thomas' Street, Weston Street and Stainer Street will all be closed for at least 24 hours and possibly longer.
