Forster, the ethical communications company, is named Britain's greenest company in the 2009 Sunday Times Green List.
This weekend The Sunday Times announces that the Southwark Street business has come top of the list of sixty winners.
The innovations and approaches noted by the judges include undertaking an annual ethical impact review and using it as the basis for improving performance, five minutes holiday for every commute on foot or by bike by staff and the Brompton pool bikes for staff going to meetings in central London.
The firm is also commended for "thinking local first for all suppliers".
Forster, which manages communications for nearby Borough Market, is now launching a new service to help other organisations follow its lead and improve their environmental performance.
