A man found early on Saturday morning with stab wounds in Baylis Road in Waterloo has been pronounced dead at the scene.
At about 5.10am on Saturday a number of cars were seen driving through red lights at the road junction outside Lambeth North Station and were stopped by police.
A second man with stab wounds is now in hospital and in a serious condition although this is not thought to be life threatening.
Baylis Road remained closed south of the Frazier Street junction whilst police continued to examine cars. Southbound traffic was diverted along Pearman Street.
