Neon art installation in St George’s Road
A specially commissioned light installation by multimedia artist Carsten Nicolai can be seen on the facade of the Siobhan Davies Studios in St George's Road.
Entitled monitor, the installation consists of custom made neon tubes.
Conceived to create a link between the inside and outside of the building, its light play communicates movement and sound.
The artwork was installed to coincide with last month's Parallel Voices series at the Siobhan Davies Studios.
Curated by Carsten Nicolai, this year's Parallel Voices series featured internationally renowned composers and musicians, choreographers and dancers, curators and scientists.
The monitor installation is on view until 11 April.
