Parents of SE1 will soon have affordable childcare opportunities in a new facility which can be viewed this weekend.
This temporary structure, 99A Upper Ground, is housed behind the National Theatre and opens Saturday 1 March. The open day begins at noon with arts and crafts based environmental workshops and continues until 4pm with storytelling and face painting.
Childcare activities will start immediately after the Easter holidays and will include most of the facilities available in the Family and Children?s Centre. Parents interested in touring the facility, and finding out more and registering can phone Karen Viggars at 020 7633 0835 or Clare Middleton at 020 7593 3107 for more information. However, the carers recommend dropping by the opening to talk to them personally. All activities are free.
