Southwark Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a collision in Jamaica Road on Wednesday in which three Southwark Police Officers and four British Transport Police officers were injured.
The officers were in a police carrier responding to an emergency call from a pub when it was in collision with a private car near the junction with St James Road at 9.54pm.
An Ambulance and the Fire Brigade attended the scene and the police carrier had to be cut open to free the officers.
The occupants of the car, two adults and two children, were taken to University Hospital Lewisham but found to have no apparent injuries.
The six officers were taken to St Thomas' Hospital and discharged following treatment for minor injuries. The seventh officer remained in hospital for observation but was released the following day.
