Wheel of Life at the Young Vic

SE1 residents used to hosting the stars at the Young Vic are now taking to the stage themslves in The Cut.

The Wheel of Life show devised by Stewart Permutt is being rehearsed in nearby Rushworth Street ready for the premiere on Thursday 20 March. The performers are all members of the Blackfriars Settlement Older Peoples Clubs.

Colourful posters are advertising the chance to "meet Doris, the colourful cockney neighbour and her long suffering best friend Queenie. And Liz the ex-dancer who fell off the stage at Collins Music Hall..."

The show, supported by Bruford Drama College and Morley College, can be seen on Thursday 20 March at 7pm, Friday 21 March at 2pm and Saturday 22 March at 7pm. All seats are £2 and early booking is advised as tickets are selling well.
