Man injured in collision with bus outside Lambeth North Station

A man, believed to be in his 60s, is in a stable condition in an east London hospital after he was injured in a collision with a double-decker bus outside Lambeth North Underground Station.

Police were called to Westminster Bridge Road at about 11.15am on Sunday. The London Air Ambulance landed at nearby Waterloo Millennium Green.

The bus involved in the incident was a Transdev London double-decker on route 148 to Camberwell Green.

The southbound carriageway of Westminster Bridge Road between Lambeth North Underground Station and St George's Road remained closed for several hours after the collision.

The tube station was also closed to passengers at police request.
