Around seventy businesses were represented at the Better Bankside budget breakfast.
Members gathered at Fish! in Borough Market on Thursday morning to hear first hand analysis of the Chancellor's speech by Brian Groom, UK business and employment editor at the Financial Times, and Mark Berrisford-Smith, senior economist in HSBC's Business Economics Unit.
Donald Hyslop, director of regeneration and community partnerships at Tate Modern, chaired the session where the the speakers answered questions on a range of issues including gift aid, enterprise zones and the role of the Liberal Democrats in the budget proposals.
Bankside businesses taking part included Ansbacher, Globe Business Publishing, London Councils, Forster, Jerwood Space, Nabas Legal International Lawyers, Network Rail, Titan Entertainment Group, Tsuru, Utobeer and Waterman Group.
