A woman was taken to hospital with leg injuries after she was hit by a falling branch from a London plane tree in Blackfriars Road on Wednesday morning.
The articulated Royal Mail lorry was approaching the traffic lights at the junction of Blackfriars Road and Southwark Street when it struck an overhanging branch.
The London Ambulance Service said that the female pedestrian was treated for leg injuries.
