Drawings and paintings of Borough Market and nearby streets feature in Peta Bridle's exhibition at Southwark Cathedral.
The work, displayed in the cathedral's refectory, features a spectacular Hollar-style view of the City from the tower and a bird's eye view of Borough Market.
Peta spent over a year getting to know many of the Borough Market traders and some are depicted in her show. There are delightful pictures of cheeses in Neal's Yard, mounds of different red tomatoes at Turnips and flowers under the railway bridge in Stoney Street.
The artist spent an evening in the cathedral belfry watching the bellringers which has resulted in both black and white and colour works.
Peta Bridle is the author and illustrator of Woolly Jumpers published by Penguin. All pictures on display are for sale.
• The Borough in Pictures is at Southwark Cathedral Refectory until 23 January. Open daily except New Year's Day.
