REALISE is offering free IT consultancy to community and voluntary groups in the Lambeth and Southwark. It is designed to provide groups with practical, jargon-free advice.
The scheme provides advice on: how computers can help with service delivery, promotion and administration, the best IT options for all budgets, IT strategy and staff training needs
REALISE consultants visit organisations and discuss IT equipment and training needs. A report is then produced based on this consultation and recommendations are given to help groups use computers effectively. This report can also be used to support funding applications.
REALISE Community Projects Officer, Sarah Parkin, said "Community and voluntary groups often have very limited funds to spend on IT equipment and training. The Community IT Consultancy Service aims to help them ensure that their money is spent effectively".
REALISE is a partnership between Lambeth Council, Southwark Council, Westminster Council, the Corporation of London, Cross River Partnership and Elephant Jobs, with financial support from the European Union's LIFE Environment fund and the UK Government's Single Regeneration Budget.
Organisations interested in obtaining free consultancy should contact Sarah Parkin on 020 7926 6217, or email [email protected].
