Crowds gathered on Blackfriars Bridge to see the last three Concorde flights.
On Concorde's last day of service all three special final flights passed over SE1 from the east heading for Heathrow. The flight from Edinburgh came over at 3.56pm to be followed by the Bay of Biscay flight two minutes later.
At exactly 4pm the final flight from New York was over Blackfriars Road and five minutes later touched down at Heathrow. The second plane let its undercarriage down four minutes before landing.
There were good views from flats in Burrell Street and Nelson Square where the late afternoon sight of Concorde coming into London has been a familiar feature of late afternoons for over a quarter of a century.
David Frost and Joan Collins were passengers on the last flight out of New York. One couple paid £37,453 for a pair of tickets in an auction.
