Protestors lit a fire in the middle of Westminster Bridge on Tuesday night.
The 'Bonfire of Austerity' protest was called by the People's Assembly as a protest against Government cuts and rising fuel bills.
Participants in the 'day of civil disobedience' were invited to burn their gas and electricity bills in the middle of the bridge.
The march formed up in Jubilee Gardens on the South Bank before making its way along Belvedere Road to reach Westminster Bridge.
The bridge was closed to motor traffic in both directions.
