City Cruises yesterday added Waterloo Millennium Pier to the piers served by its Westminster to Greenwich boat services.
Transport for London's London River Services division invited boat operators to serve the pier which opened last year in the shadow of the British Airways London Eye.
Boats will operate between Westminster, Waterloo, Tower and Greenwich every forty minutes during the day throughout the autumn and winter and will operate until 9pm in high summer, subject to demand.
Andy Griffiths, General Manager of London River Services says: "We are delighted that City Cruises are serving Waterloo Millennium Pier providing an additional north-south link on the River Thames to the British Airways London Eye and the old County Hall attractions such as the London Aquarium."
The pier is also served by Catamaran Cruisers' multi-lingual circular cruise.
