The Archbishop of Canterbury has held talks with the Chairman of the Iraqi Governing Council Abdul Aziz Al-Hakim and senior colleagues at Lambeth Palace.
The meeting, which was at the request of the Archbishop's guests, lasted about one hour.
The discussions covered a wide range of issues and focussed particularly on religious tolerance and freedom and the role of faith communities in building social and political cohesion in Iraq
