Lord of the Rings - Return of the King at the Coronet

London SE1 website team

For the first time in several years it is possible to see the Christmas movie blockbuster at an SE1 cinema, thanks to the reopening of the Coronet at the Elephant and Castle.

Lord of the Rings – Return of the King is the first commercial movie to be shown at the reopened cinema, following November's successful Elefest film festival.

Cinema Furore plans to show a varied programme at the Coronet, with a mix of blockbusters, world cinema, arthouse and independent British films. The venue boasts a 42- foot screen, Dolby digital surround sound and two bars.

Lord of the Rings – Return of the King is showing till Thursday 8 January and tickets cost just £6 (concs £5; children £4).

A full schedule is available on the Cinema Furore website.
