MP joins SE1 forum’s postal service campaign

London SE1 website team

North Southwark and Bermondsey MP Simon Hughes is to meet with London SE1 forum contributors to discuss the standard of the postal service in SE1.

Simon Hughes MP has arranged for a public meeting to be held on Friday 23 January from 7pm to 8.30pm in the upstairs function room of the Blue Eyed Maid on Borough High Street.

Since early December forum regulars have been sharing tales of lost parcels and misdelivered letters. The debate even hit the pages of the South London Press last week. Mr Hughes told the SLP: "We had the same problem in the run-up to Christmas but they had seemed to sort it out. Now it's happening again. The problem is that letters are either arriving late or in many reported cases not at all. I live in SE1 and I've had problems myself."
