Air ambulance called after New Kent Road motorbike crash

The London Air Ambulance was called to New Kent Road on Wednesday lunchtime after a collision between a car and a motorbike.

The emergency services were called just before 12.30pm on Wednesday to reports of a collision between a car and motorcycle on New Kent Road near the Rodney Place junction.

The motorcyclist – a man in his twenties – was taken to hospital, although his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

New Kent Road was closed till after 3pm, causing long traffic jams on surrounding streets and disruption to bus services over a wide area.
