A cyclist suffered minor injuries on Friday afternoon when the bike she was riding was crushed under the front wheels of an articulated lorry.
Police and the ambulance service were called to the junction of Southwark Street and Southwark Bridge Road at about 2.25pm on Friday after a collision between an articulated lorry and a Barclays Cycle Hire bicycle.
The cyclist was taken to hospital with minor injuries, said a police spokesman.
The articulated lorry involved in the collision belongs to the Hanson cement company.
The collision took place where Southwark Street crosses the blue paint of Cycle Superhighway 7 on Southwark Bridge Road.
This week Transport for London announced plans to introduce an experimental 20 mph speed limit on Southwark Street.
