Pedestrian hit by night bus on London Bridge: police appeal

A pedestrian has suffered potentially life-changing injuries after she was hit by an N47 night bus on the south end of London Bridge.

At 2.27am on Friday the City of London Police received a report of a woman having had her foot run over by a bus on the southbound carriageway just before the Duke Street Hill junction.

The bus did not stop at the scene of the incident.

When they arrived two minutes later, officers attended to a 31-year-old woman with serious injuries to her right leg, ankle and foot.

The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance where her injuries were assessed as potentially life changing.

City of London Police have launched an investigation and discovered that the bus involved was on route N47. No one was injured on the bus.

No arrests have been made.
