Tower Bridge, the London Eye and the Golden Jubilee Bridges were bathed in pink light on Saturday night to celebrate the birth of the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Throughout Saturday the London Eye offered free admission to couples called William and Kate.

After criticism on social media, the South Bank attraction later widened the scope of the promotion to include same-sex couples called William and William or Kate and Kate.

On Bank Holiday Monday at 2pm a gun salute will be fired from the Tower of London to celebrate the princess's birth.

In July 2013 Tower Bridge was lit blue to celebrate the birth of Prince George.
