A man has been sentenced to five and a half years in prison for killing a 20-year-old with a single punch near Tower Bridge.
29-year-old Lloyd Smythe of the Tabard Gardens Estate pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Tommy Blackmore on Wednesday via video link to the Old Bailey.
On Friday at the same court he was jailed for five and a half years.
Tommy Blackmore was found fatally injured in Queen Elizabeth Street in the early hours of on Saturday 13 June.
Investigating officers found that an altercation involving a number of men and women took place on Tower Bridge Road. This then continued in Queen Elizabeth Street where Blackmore was subsequently attacked.
Smythe was arrested by police the next day on suspicion of murder.
