Pedestrian critically injured in Old Kent Road collision

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was critically injured in a collision with a motorbike on the Old Kent Road.

Police were called at 5.23pm to to a motorcycle in collision with a pedestrian on the Old Kent Road near the Lidl store at the Massinger Street junction.

The pedestrian – a 72-year-old woman – was taken by ambulance to a south London hospital where her condition is critical.

The male rider of the motorcycle stopped at the scene. He sustained minor injuries and was not arrested.

Anyone who witnessed the collision should call officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8285 1574.
