Woman dies in hospital after Old Kent Road collision

Police continue to appeal for witnesses following the collision in the Old Kent Road on Friday 8 January.

Officers were called at 5.23pm to reports of a motorcycle in collision with a pedestrian on the Old Kent Road near the junction with Massinger Street.

The pedestrian – a 72-year-old woman – was taken by ambulance to a south London hospital. She died there on Tuesday 12 January.

The male rider of the motorcycle stopped at the scene. He sustained minor injuries and was not arrested.
