London SE1 website team

"Real food company" EAT is opening an outlet on the ground floor of Bankside's Riverside House.

EAT Bankside

The Bankside building, alongside Southwark Bridge, is occupied by the broadcasting and media regulator Ofcom. The shopfront is a few doors from Pizza Express which also has a river view.

The first shop opened in 1996 in Villiers Street near Charing Cross Station. There are now 27 shops in London and one in Birmingham. The company boasts that all its eat-in or takeaway food is fresh with a one day shelf life. The menu includes Moroccan Root Vegetable Soup.

This is the third branch to open in SE1. The others are at Oxo Tower Wharf and the Royal Festival Hall. The Oxo Tower branch has just been refurbished.
