Luxury flats plan for Stamford Street playground

Lambeth Council had already granted planning permission but further consultation time was provided after the scheme was declared to be a departure from the Unitary Development Plan.

The 58 flats would fund improvements to the adjoining London Nautical School.

Many local residents are objecting to this loss of open space on the corner of Stamford Street and Hatfields.

The planned eight-storey black of flats has provision for nineteen car parking spaces. The existing chapel portico on Stamford Street would be retained.
