Kevin Spacey robbed in SE1 park

Kevin Spacey has been robbed of his mobile phone while walking his dog in a SE1 park near his home.

The Old Vic artistic director was walking his dog in Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park near the Imperial War Museum at 4.30am when a passer-by asked to borrow a phone for an emergency.

However, he made made off with it and when Kevin Spacey gave chase he became caught up in the dog lead and fell over injuring his head.

He reported the assault to Kennington Police Station within 30 minutes and had hospital treatment for a minor head injury at St Thomas'.

Kevin Spacey, who is shortly to announce a new season, has asked police not pursue the matter further.
